His fame extended beyond Italy\u2019s borders, and he was well-known in Argentina. Over the years, he became a friend I could turn to for advice, and he taught me to always take a step back and reflect during difficult times. He passed away on September 4, 2006, and five days later we won a tough match (Fiorentina 2\u20133 Inter).
